Surgical Hospital in Haritan, Aleppo, Syria

As the fighting intensified and the number of injuries increased in the northern countryside of Aleppo, Orient for Human Relief decided to establish a surgical hospital in Haritan town in April 2013. The hospital was fully equipped with operating rooms, inpatient rooms, and a number of clinics delivering free-of-charge services to /65/ patients a day.

The hospital offered free medication to its patients, in addition to X-ray imaging and medical laboratory tests. It was equipped with two Operating Rooms and more than /60/ inpatient beds and conducted most emergency surgeries.

Emergency Clinic

Due to the displacement of most of northern Aleppo countryside to the camps on the Turkish-Syrian border, and the emergence of new critical healthcare needs inside Syria, Orient for Human Relief handed over the hospital to the local council by the end of 06/2013 to carry on its role in saving the lives of those targeted by the Syrian Army.
